Great day organised well by Camelot.
Watford Started off well by defending against a larger well organised team from Royston. Eventually Royston got a few breakaways try’s but Watford kept their heads up.
Then it was onto the Welwyn / Fullers Baba team, and it was a very close game but the baba’s just held off Watford for the win.
Without much rest, Watford was then onto Hemel Hempstead, who were a tough opponent, nevertheless, Watford stepped up their game and got a convincing win against one of the best teams of the pool.
This set Watford on a high against Datchworth and with the wind behind our sales despite a tough adversary got a compelling win again.
Watford come second in the pool and then it was onto play the second-place team from pool C, Hitchin.
Watford’s energy was low, but the spirits were high after a long morning of Rugby. Hitchin also on a high from their pool games started strong, but Watford scored first. It was then a game of attrition, both sides throwing everything at the game. Hitchin got a well-deserved try to bring the match level with only a few minutes left. However, Watford got the ball and moved it well through the hands using the whole team to leave a one on one with Camron, resulting in a try, in the last but one kick off to win the play off.
Everyone loved the whole day and what a great way to finish off the season.
