The u14 girls or 'Silverware princesses' as they are referred to after the past two performances travelled to RAF Halton and clustered with Finchley in a very well organised girls’ tournament on Sunday 9th October
Watford played in three group games in which they built confidence throughout the day.
In their first two matches the u14 girls cluster found the physicality of Trojans FC Orange and Aylesbury especially too much to deal with and came up short with two defeats.
Against Medway Rugby Club Scarlets however, they upped their work rate and physicality and turned out victorious with a bonus point win. The newcomers to the team again have showed a better understanding of the game.
Watford earned themselves a place in the quarterfinal of the plate competition and built on the confidence of the previous game to beat Fullerians / Solihull convincingly 25-0.
However, in the semi-final against Kettering Watford/Finchley came up short and was outplayed by Kettering 15-25 giving a good account of themselves after a long day of rugby.
