Watford U14’s girls had a great welcome this Sunday from Buckingham. Watford was clustered with Chesham. This was the first time we have played together.
After a good warmup and run through of moves, the game was on. The Watford cluster came out of the blocks firing, attacking hard, looking close to scoring. However, Buckingham defence and counter rucking was too much and eventually turned the ball over and with a breakaway scored the first try.
For the next two quarters Watford defended and attacked well but Buckingham kept scoring break away tries. In the last quarter Watford’s newly formed team finally gelled together and started scoring.
Great day and a great welcome. The girls are looking forward to clustering with Chesham again particularly, with the improvement over the duration of just one game.
