Watford rugby club Girls section travelled to Guildford and took part in the Guildfordians Girls festival. The under 16 team got knocked out in the cup semifinal after a tough match against Guildfordians rugby club but achieved some great success throughout the day.

In the group stages Watford had comfortable wins against Battersea Ironsides and Heathfield but unfortunalty lost against a very physical Havant side.

Against Battersea Ironsides and Heathfield, Watford showed dominance at times and demonstrated some good inter- and support play. This was well converted into a great team try against Heathfield where every player touched the ball before Myla scored in the top corner.

Against Havant Watford was blown away and surprised by their physicality and although some refereeing decision went against them, they had to lift their performances for the rest of the day.

The performance of the day was against Guildfordians who went of to be crowned overall winners in the under 16 category. Watford lifted themselves after a disappointing loss to Havant and showed some great physicality and determination. They narrowly lost but came out with their heads held high after a strong performance of work rate and being able to adapt to the opposition.
